The Atlantic City Free Public Library will hold a Meet the Author program featuring K’wan — one of the biggest names in all of urban fiction — at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, in the Main Library meeting room.
The popularity of urban fiction at the Atlantic City Library is
immense, accounting for approximately one quarter of all fiction items
circulated in 2008 — and K’wan is among the genre’s most read authors.
He hit the scene in 2002 with his debut novel Gangsta, under Triple
Crown Publications. The novel went on to become a part of urban-lit
history and an Essence bestseller, as well as drawing rave reviews
overseas.
